Norbert Schadler
Norbert Schadler is a General Manager with Siemens AG Automation and Drives Industrial Automation Systems based in Nuremberg, Germany. He is responsible for leading solutions projects in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. This includes chemical engineering and industrial automation activities.
Before joining Siemens AG, he was President and General Manager of several different divisions at the former Hoechst Company, including projectmanagement, chemical engineering and process automation. He began his career with NUKEM GmbH in Hanau, Germany, where he worked on nuclear waste treatment.
Mr. Schadler holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Darmstadt and since 1997 he is Professor in Process and Plant Engineering at the Univ. of Darmstadt.
Schadler is currently President of the VDI/GVC (Society for Chemical and Process Engineering), a board member of DECHEMA (Society for Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology) and President of the GVT (Society for Chemical Engineering Research) in Germany.
