Agents and Multi-agent systems are a very attractive approach for dealing with complexity and have proved to be successful in many industrial domains. Building multi-agent systems is still a challenge because very few guidelines and methodologies exist on the topic. Therefore further advances are required in formalisms, methodologies and tools to cover multi-agent systems development process in order to have successful applications The special session on Agent Theories and Practice for Industry will offer a forum for discussion and exchange on theoretical and experimental researches and applications of agents applied to industrial problems and contexts.
Topics:
- Agent based software engineering
- Agent architectures and Architectural models
- Multi-agent based modelling and simulation of complex systems
- Coordination and cooperation
- Mobile agents
- Applications of multi-agent systems and cases studies
- Industrial applications of multi-agent systems
